They Were Founded For Workers' Rights
The Place and Importance of Unions in Our Lives
Unionization movements, which first began in Europe and America, started to prevent the pressures and lawlessness imposed by bosses as one man on workers. It started with issues such as protecting workers' rights, ensuring employees had rights within a certain framework, and improving conditions related to food, insurance, compensation, and working conditions. Actually, it is a very good and necessary system. However, in our country and other countries, the situation has not remained as it was when it first began. While workers were being oppressed, unions entered politics, and union leaders became a source of rent, earning ten, twenty times the salary of a worker.
Who Do Unions Serve?
Labor unions and their branches should only defend the rights of workers. However, these organizations, which have become a source of rent, are now completely corrupt. They act according to their own interests, either under the influence of politicians or as the voice of the opposition. Workers are still oppressed and work under difficult conditions.
