How to Install Artificial Turf?
These carpets, which can be applied to sports fields, are divided into standard and shockpad systems. This distinction arises from the difference in the application phase. Artificial turf carpet is applied in five stages in the standard system. First, drainage channels and pipes must be laid on the base of the field for drainage. Then, small gravel stones are placed on top of these drains, and a felt-like material is laid over them. Finally, the artificial turf is brought and laid on top of all this, moving to the final stage. Silica sand and infill material are applied on top of the artificial turf. The entire process is completed, and the artificial turf field is ready for use.
Application of Artificial Turf Carpet
In the shock pad system, the application is carried out in six stages compared to the standard system. As with the standard system, the process begins by laying drainage channels and pipes in the first stage. Then, the Shock pad, which gives the system its name and provides long-term field protection, is applied, and the artificial turf is laid on top, followed by line marking. The process is completed in the final stage using an infill material specially produced for turf carpets. Artificial turf application is a type of carpet preferred for both indoor and outdoor spaces.
