Control and Monitoring of Buildings

The Role of Structural Inspection Companies

Structural inspection companies, established after the devastating earthquakes experienced in our country, continue their work on building integrity and control. However, given their current structure, these companies are observed to act more like document preparation and submission firms to the state. Absolutely, the work these companies do is not currently controlling building construction. The structural inspection firms have transformed into entities that follow the responsibilities they have undertaken solely through documentation, without ever visiting the construction sites.

What Should Actually Be Happening?

Continuous inspection of construction is crucial. Therefore, structural inspection companies must regularly visit construction sites and verify the accuracy of the implementations. Merely taking photos and preparing documents has diverted this task from its core purpose, as with many other professions. A system to which we entrust our lives has currently collapsed and become redundant.
