What is Graphic Design?
Graphic design is generally the organization of texts and all desired visuals in a visible arrangement, either two-dimensionally or three-dimensionally, with the aim of conveying a certain message, enhancing a visual, or visualizing an idea. It is used in fields such as printing, design, motion pictures, and screens, and is used in many different areas such as packaging design. Graphic design applies the basic principles of all visual arts in the fields of graphic arts, such as balance, alignment, contrast, emphasis, repetition, rhythm, and unity. Graphic design and graphic designer are technically the same person and perform the same operations. The stylized form of paintings and photographs is also called graphic design. It requires knowledge of color and pattern harmonies, and the design principles must be considered during the design process. These important stages include aspects such as light, dark, line, grayscale systems, texture, shape, direction, and dimensions. It also holds an important place in the printing industry.
What Does a Graphic Designer Do?
They must have detailed information about the designs they will create and must create a concept and main theme by working alone or as a team in the relevant subjects and fields. They must be closely involved in the printing industry. When necessary, they must also contribute as art directors in film and photography shoots, and they must make aesthetic corrections to products and applications. In terms of their qualities, they must first be able to perceive shapes and colors in the finest detail, be able to express their designs through lines, and be closely involved with social and artistic fields. They must also be creative and have a rich imagination. Using only computer technology and necessary additional programs is not enough to create these desired designs; individuals must also incorporate their drawing skills, color knowledge, and creativity into their work. On the other hand, it should be known that graphic design, in a sense, carries vital elements.
