What is a CE Certificate?
What is the CE Certificate Related To?
For countries that have adopted European standards, it is possible to prove that they produce products compatible with Europe by having the CE, or Conformité Européenne, certificate. The CE certificate means compliance with European Union directives and standards on many issues, from health to safety. By having your company obtain a CE certificate, your product can circulate freely in European Union countries.
History
Products with the CE mark are evaluated as products that not only meet the quality standards set by the ISO 9001 Certificate but also prove that they meet the standards set by the European Union. The CE certificate is a document that has been continuously developed since 1985. Having a CE-certified product proves that the products manufactured comply with the necessary health and safety conditions. In this way, products intended for export can be easily offered for sale within European Union countries. In other words, it can be said that a product with the CE mark is a product with a passport. This product also meets current requirements.
Its Journey and Requirement Conditions in Turkey
The CE's journey in Turkey began on January 17, 2002, with its publication in the Official Gazette. From this date onwards, it has become mandatory for products manufactured in Turkey to also have the CE mark. Of course, if the products are not to be exported abroad, it would be meaningless to talk about the obligation to have a CE certificate.
