Established in İzmir in 1980, the company started producing alloy wheels for the Turkish branches of Fiat and Ford in 1985. Later, Renault Turkey joined the companies for which it produced alloy wheels in 1986. In 2003, the company opened its second production facility in the Çiğli district of İzmir. In 2003, the company also earned the ISO 14001 environmental certification. In 2011, CMS was selected as the "Best Quality Supplier" by Toyota.
